That we live in contentious political times is no great surprise — We in America always have.
In evangelical Christian circles, however, it seems more and more popular for the cool, elite, and hipsters among us to declare that if Jesus walked the earth today (and what’s more really had any interest in American politics) that he would be taking up causes near and dear to the hearts of the left.
What I propose to do on this blog is to write a series of essays honestly addressing some of the common claims of our left-leaning brethren concerning the realities of politics and economics in an attempt to answer the question of how faith in Christ should affect our public life.
I’m completely and totally unhip, uncool, and unembarassed to be both a registered Republican and a Christian.
